Karissa earned her J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law where she received numerous accolades, including the Outstanding Oral Argument Award and a National Moot Court Championship title. While in law school, she served as an executive editor for Juris Law Magazine and was a leader on the Appellate Moot Court Executive Board. Karissa also holds a B.A. in Political Science and English Writing, cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh, with an emphasis in Comparative and International Politics.
Karissa’s professional accolades include being recognized as a Nationally Ranked Top 10 Under 40 Personal Injury Lawyer by the National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys in 2020. Her civic and pro bono contributions are equally commendable--she has contributed to her community by representing clients pro bono for expungements and pardons. Additionally, she volunteers weekly at a local wildlife rehabilitation facility, helping rehabilitate and release injured animals back into their habitats.
Karissa is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania, Arizona, the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, and the United States District Court of Arizona. Outside of her legal practice, she continues to enhance her skills through Spanish classes and is passionate about using her expertise to serve and support her community.
