Michael Hartmere provides leadership to the team and works to streamline all aspects of litigation. For more than two decades, he has represented clients in all phases of complex litigation, mediation, arbitration, and appeals. Among other distinctions, Michael was recognized for five consecutive years in the New York Super Lawyers publication, and one year in Who’s Who in America.
Michael began his legal career as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Kevin Thomas Duffy, U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of New York. He then became associated with Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, where, among others, he worked on class actions including:
- In re Enron Corp. Sec. Litig., 310 F. Supp. 2d 819 (S.D. Tex. 2004), and
- In re WorldCom, Inc. Sec. Litig., 346 F. Supp. 2d 628 (S.D.N.Y. 2004).
Since joining the firm, Michael has served on or led litigation teams on dozens of TCPA class action matters, including:
- Champion v. Sendwell, Inc., C/A No. 1:24-cv-01143 (JEB) (D.D.C.);
- Paisley v. Direct Funding Now LLC, No. 0:23-cv-61913-WPD (S.D. Fla.);
- Davis v. Capital One, N.A., No. 1:22-cv-00903-AJT-IDD (E.D. Va.);
- Sutherland v. National Republican Congressional Committee, No. 1:22-cv-00302-RH-ZCB (N.D. Fla.); and
- Juchau v. Fluent, No. 2:21-cv-00551RJS-CMR (D. Utah).
